Position Summary

This position provides administrative support to the Director of the Full Circle Project program. This position is the first point of contact for the Full Circle Project office. The coordinator will assist with all traveling and ensuring all expenses are paid with an understanding of federal, state, and foundation funds. The Administrative Support Coordinator troubleshoots most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries related to the work area. The coordinator will analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

CSU Classification Salary Range: $2,912 - $4,434/month

Hiring Range: Anticipated hiring range, within the classification range - $2,912 - $3,183 per month, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

Pay Plan: 12 months

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Department Information

The Full Circle Project aims to assist Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students throughout their entire college careers and provide ample opportunities to engage in service both on and off-campus to enhance their university experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.

These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalent combined with several years of related office work experience.

Required Qualifications

1. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.

2. Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems and packages.

3. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.

4. Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.

5. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.

6. Ability to perform business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data, and make simple projections.

7. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports.

8. Ability to effectively handle a broad range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

9. Attention to detail and accuracy.

10. Demonstrated ability to make simple budget projections.

11. Ability to interpret policies and procedures for federal and state funds.

12. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to others.

13. Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

14. Experience working in an institution of higher education.

15. Knowledge of Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Instructions (AANAPISI) programs.

16. Demonstrated proficiency in Sacramento State software applications such as CMS, CFS, Cognos Financial Data Warehouse, Astra and Opus.
