Job/Department Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant VP for Advancement Administration, The Executive Outreach Manager is responsible for outreach to alumni, friends, and patrons of the university - initiating philanthropic relationships. This position will focus on identifying and engaging new donors, assessing new donor prospects for giving capacity/affinity, and transitioning donor prospects to a development officer for gift solicitation. This position also supports the development team in planning, providing support for Giving Day and crowdfunding initiatives, and by supporting development officers with events and programming. Finally, this position will provide active donor stewardship by writing thank you letters, making phone calls, and coordinating other donor recognition efforts. This position reports to the Assistant VP for Advancement Administration.

Mandatory Vaccinations:

The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be fully immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

  • Experience in campaign fund-raising or development
  • Chico State Alumni
  • Experience planning a Giving Day
  • Experience using iModules or Mobile Cause
  • Bilingual

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree
AND
Minimum one year's experience in non-profit or higher education fundraising
OR
Minimum one year's experience in sales or customer service

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Remote work may be available

Salary and Benefits Information:

Salary commensurate with background and experience of the individual selected. (Anticipated hiring salary not to exceed: $55,000 per year).

This position qualifies for benefits including tuition fee waiver (if eligible).

This position is a Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA) designated managerial position and comes under the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) of the California State University. Individuals appointed to management positions serve at the pleasure of the President or designee. They are excluded from the collective bargaining process, are not subject to probationary service, and do not receive tenure or permanent status. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
