Working independently, under general direction of the Assistant Director, incumbent compiles and maintains budget information using integrated financial systems and/or other types of records management systems; performs work required to administer the California State University budgetary program; assists in providing consultative budget service to campus constituents; prepares financial projections, generates source reports by creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases; computes and posts budgetary transactions and allocations; performs financial and budgetary analysis; monitors budgetary controls; completes and assists in analytical data compilation for reporting to outside sources; assists with development, implementation and evaluation of new or revised processes.
The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be fully immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in finance or accounting.
- Advanced use and experience with MS Excel creating complex spreadsheets for large data sets.
- Experience with the creation of ad hoc data queries and analysis.
Required Education and Experience:
Two years of progressively responsible professional experience in analyzing data including one year involving
duties such as preparation, justification and analysis or the control and administration of a budget or budgetary
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, business administration, finance or a closely related
field OR a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Time Base: Full-time- 1.0
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.
Salary and Benefits Information:
$3,832 - $7,394 per month / $45,984 - $88,728 annually
Salary commensurate with background and experience of the individual selected. (Anticipated hiring salary not to exceed: $50,000 per year).
